Just a little reminder for all of you who missed our first sock club, and for those who would like to renew their subscription, that places for the summer round 2009-10 will open tomorrow, 1st November. Places by necessity have to be limited, but we have added a few more this time. We hope to have you join us!

Pink Ribbon Day

On Monday, 26th October, we will be supporting the McGrath Foundation by donating a percentage of sales of special pink yarns. We all know someone touched by breast cancer, and would like to do our bit to help support this very worthwhile cause.. Please spread the word, tell your yarn friends and family. We hope that you can help us support this special cause!

(ravelry link). If you're new lace knitter you'll find this easy & quick to knit, with written directions too if you're scared of charts! (like me..)  Best thing is it takes less than a 100g skein to make...

This is a nice, easy, brainless knit. It will adapt to many different yarn weights... I did mine in our 50/50 silk merino fingering weight, which gives it beautiful drape and isn't bulky.. I love it!

New Shawl Project

I have a new shawl project underway... and after finishing several lacy pieces recently, I wanted to do something a little plainer..

I'm loving it so far... and it's almost finished, I'm up to the final ruffle edge.. anyone wanna guess what the pattern is?

I was looking forward to a few months of lovely spring temeratures to get stuck into knitting samples for next year, but whoa, we've had summer come early!  I'm sure it was only winter last month wasn't it??

This shawl will be finished in a jiffy... I'll have pics when it's done..!

Mini Shop Update

Just a small shop update this week, with a mix of everything on offer! Some silk/merino, gorgeous soft Cashmerino (80% merino, 20% cashmere) and a little merino sock yarn...
